Islamabad and Lahore to Get New State-of-the-art Universities
The Chairman of WAPDA organization Engr Lt-Gen (r) Sajjad Ghani made the announcement that the State-of-the-art WAPDA university will begin operation soon. He made this announcement during his visit to the WAPDA Engineering Academy in Faisalabad on Monday.
The focal person for WAPDA for the institution also provided an update to the Chairman with the crucial tasks to establish the university, including formulating a charter, doing a feasibility study, handling money, and choosing what programmes will be offered.
The main campus of WAPDA University will be in Islamabad and its sub-campuses will be in Lahore and Faisalabad. The institution will gradually acquaint students with its faculties of engineering, management, and social sciences.

The Chairman outlined the primary objectives for founding the institution and stated that WAPDA University would be a leader in academics and research across a range of subjects that are essential for the development of the nation.
He added that by providing curricula specifically created for this purpose, the university would help Pakistan’s academic and industrial divides.
