ITI Freight Train Moves to Iran

The Islamabad-Tehran-Istanbulk (ITI) freight train entered Iran on Sunday after reaching the border town the previous day.

According to Pakistan Railways, there were eight rail cars filled with pink salt. Representatives of the Iranian government, the Pakistani Consulate in Zahedan, and Pakistan Railways terminated trains bound towards Iranian cities.

Freight destined for Istanbul will be put onto a second train in Zahedan en route to Istanbul. The Pakistan Railway reported that workers were mending the line between Nushki and Taftan, which had been severely damaged for a long period.
