Prof. Dr. Athar Mehboob, vice chancellor of Islamia University, Bahawalpur, would build a chip design centre.
IUB is one of eight public universities in Punjab to receive a chip design centre.

The venture capitalist stated that integrated circuit chip technology has changed the computer and electronics industries.
