KMC Shares Details of Karachi’s Development Works
Karachi: According to news reports, Karachi Administrator Murtaza Wahab revealed that the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) had begun development work in Karachi’s East District at a total cost of PKR 1.1 billion.
According to the specifications, an invitation to bid has been issued for the construction of a road between Machli Chowk and Canopy at the cost of PKR 800 million. At the cost of PKR 200 million, a new bid has been published for the maintenance of street lighting on Mai Kolachi Road. It was also claimed that, at the cost of PKR 1.5 billion, roads and street lighting would be renovated in various districts of the city.
Between January 31 and February 7, 10 new buses for Larkana and 240 new buses for Karachi are slated to arrive in the city, according to Karachi Administrator Wahab. In addition to Frere Hall, Burns Garden is also being refurbished. Additionally, Aziz Bhatti Park will be rebuilt. The administrator also stated that the environment would be improved by beautifying the important arteries.

In addition, the Solid Waste Management Board will collect trash and perform cleaning in the Korangi District this month and the Central District beginning next month. The administration disclosed that PKR 260 million had been set aside to refurbish the Zulfiqarabad Oil Tankers Parking Terminal.
