Land Chosen for Education Complex in Rawalpindi

The district government of Rawalpindi has reportedly decided to construct an educational facility on two Kanals of land in Madressah Millia Satellite Town.

In the past, the district government intended to construct the education complex on the grounds of Government Denny’s High School, but the concept was abandoned due to litigation.

As part of its 2018-19 annual development program, the provincial government has allocated Rs100 million for the education facility where the District Education Authority’s headquarters would be relocated.

During the current fiscal year, Rs20 million have been allocated for the first development of the facility. After selecting the new location, the government has requested that the construction department draft PC-I and submit it to the planning and development department for final approval.
