LESCO Orders Against Unlawful Connections by Consumers
Lahore: According to reports, Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) issued orders to disconnect users with illicit connections on Tuesday, December 14.

According to leaked information, LESCO officials were directed to disable illegally installed additional meters in their residences. There are reports that hundreds of thousands of city power customers use several connections in their homes to decrease their electricity bills. Due to increased energy costs, consumers choose for more connections to lower unit consumption.

In addition, the agency will take action against officers who have improperly permitted these links. CEO Chaudhry Muhammad Amin had already declared that he would begin deploying net metering connections in January.
