M M Alam Road to Be Pedestrianized by LDA
Lahore: According to information issued on Friday, the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) intends to pedestrianize M M Alam Road in an effort to reduce traffic and enhance public mobility (March 18).

According to the specifics, the government has decided to repair and beautify several sections of M M Alam Road and Main Boulevard in Gulberg. The LDA is collaborating with public and private sector professionals to produce road designs. It was discovered that the administration is working on multiple measures to implement international standards in the affected regions.
In addition, the LDA plans to minimize encroachments, improve building facades, enhance security, standardize signs, add benches, renovate the sewer system, and install modern streetlights (LED). The plan calls for the expansion of Gulberg Main Boulevard.

The LDA intends to install seats in the middle of the scenery to prevent air pollution, which will help make the area more sociable. The proprietors of buildings there were also asked to assist LDA in this fashion. The owners were advised to maintain the areas in front of their rebuilt structures.
