Mall Road Lahore to Be Made Signal Free
Lahore: According to a news source, Chief Traffic Officer Montazer Mehdi announced that the City Traffic Police had finished their feasibility assessment and handed it to the district government for authorisation to remove the historic Mall Road signal from service.

The Traffic Engineering & Planning Agency (TEPA) and the city district government’s principal agencies have started working on the plan. The project’s connected developments will start as soon as the authorities provide their consent. The planned plan’s implementation will address the road’s traffic-related problems.
For the signal-free project, four U-turns will be built on the Mall Road, and all intersections with the Mall Road will have their junctions sealed, according to CTO Montazer Mehdi. Residents will be permitted to turn around and cross Mall Road. The service lane that runs from High Court Chowk to the Governor’s Residence will also be used as a route for traffic.

It is important to note the historical and cultural significance of Mall Road in Lahore. The Mughal and British eras are represented by several of the buildings in this neighbourhood. Without a doubt, this path bears witness to history. The Museum, Lahore Zoo, Punjab Provincial Assembly, Qurban Lines (Police), and Aitcheson College are all located on Mall Road.
