OGDCL Discovers Gas Reservoirs in Kohlu District in Balochistan

The Oil and Gas Development Limited (OGDCL) has reportedly discovered gas in the Mughalkot Formation at the Jandran West X-1 well in the Kohlu district of Balochistan, according to reliable sources.

The Jandran West X-1 exploration well was drilled into the Parh Formation to a total depth of 1,627 meters on 19 May 2021.

IGDCL’s working interest in the Jandran West Exploration License is 100 percent. The Mughalkot Formation was subjected to a Drill Stem Test (DST) based on favorable gas indications during drilling and analysis of open-hole logging data.
