Over 25 Million Users Registered With Raast in 2022
By the end of 2022, the Raast payment system will have around 25.8 million users registered thanks to its well-liked feature of fast cash transmission at no cost.

SBP has launched a project called Raast to encourage quick end-to-end digital payments among people, companies, and governmental organizations.
Over 21 million transactions totaling Rs. 578 billion were made possible by the P2P payment system in the final quarter of 2022. During the ensuing third quarter of 2022, the system handled 11.8 million transactions worth Rs. 234 billion.
The system, which was introduced in February 2022, has seen a rise in both users and transactions, and in the first 11 months after its launch, it has handled more over Rs. 1 trillion.

Customers can use the bank’s mobile application, internet banking, or branch visits to set their registered mobile phone number as their Raast ID and link it to their selected International Bank Account Number (IBAN).
When a customer sets her or his mobile phone number as the Raast ID, others can pay money to her or him using that number without needing to know the account number or any other information. Even if they don’t have a Raast ID or would rather use their IBAN, bank customers can still utilize the Raast service to transfer or receive money using their IBANs.
The minimum transaction threshold for customers making RAAST payments is Rs. 200,000, or the corresponding transaction thresholds for the account type.

The Interbank Fund Transfer (IBFT) limit must be met by the total customer limit applied to RAAST payments.
The available transaction limit will be displayed in the clients’ mobile apps and online banking portals, and the aggregate limit will be disclosed to them.
