ISLAMABAD: Residents and businesses in Islamabad can now access several civic services through the PAK App, including online payment facilities for property taxes and water bills, as the Capital Development Authority (CDA) and Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad (MCI) expand digital access to municipal services.
The initiative is designed to allow users to complete routine applications and payments through their mobile devices, reducing the need for physical visits to government offices.
More Civic Services Available Online
According to the authorities, the digital platform covers a range of services in addition to property tax and water bill payments. These include applications related to advertising and open-space permissions, parking permits, generator licences and various municipal approvals.
Users can submit applications and supporting documents through the platform, while available digital payment options can be used for services that require fees. The system also provides facilities to track application progress and maintain electronic records of applications, approvals and transactions.
Access to individual services will depend on the relevant eligibility requirements and applicable regulations.
Complaint Tracking and Digital Records
The CDA and MCI have also included complaint registration and tracking within the digital service framework, subject to the requirements of the system.
The authorities said the initiative forms part of broader efforts to shift Islamabad’s civic services toward cashless, contactless and paperless processes. Digital records are also expected to provide a centralized way of managing applications and service-related transactions.
The authorities plan to gradually expand the range of services available through the platform, giving residents and businesses additional options for completing civic procedures online.
