Pakistan Invites Tajikistan to Avail CPEC Facilities
During his discussions with the visiting Tajik President Emomali Rahmon, Prime Minister Imran Khan asked Tajikistan to utilise the services of Pakistan’s seaports and the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

The prime minister reaffirmed Pakistan’s support for Tajikistan joining the Quadrilateral Traffic-in-Transit Agreement at a joint news conference (QTTA).
President Rahmon landed in Pakistan for a two-day trip. He had a one-on-one meeting with the prime minister during which they went over the whole range of their bilateral relations as well as regional and global issues.
According to a joint statement released after the meeting, Prime Minister Imran told President Rahmon that the Gwadar harbour was now operational and invited Tajikistan to use Pakistani ports and the CPEC.
According to the joint statement, the two leaders expressed their determination to take bilateral ties to a new level of strategic cooperation for the mutual benefit of the two countries and their peoples, while also expressing their satisfaction with the steadily improving relations between Pakistan and Tajikistan.

The two leaders underscored the need to facilitate people-to-people relations as well as increased cooperation in education, culture, and tourism through shared development and collaborative partnerships.
