Pakistan IT Sector Post USD 635 Million in First Quarter of FY22
According to news sources, Prime Minister’s Adviser on Commerce Razak Dawood revealed that Information Technology (IT)-related sector growth in Pakistan surpassed USD 635 million in the first quarter of the current fiscal year (FY 2021-22).

According to the information provided, the IT and IT-related sector grew by 45 percent compared to the same period previous year. In addition, the cumulative sales of IT& IT goods increased to USD 635 million in the first quarter of FY-22, from July to September, compared to USD 445 million in FY-21.

Last year, Pakistan earned USD 2 billion, a figure that will be surpassed this year, according to Pakistan’s advisor Dawood. He attributed the increase in revenue to the improved rules and tax advantages for the IT industry.
It is essential to keep in mind that Pakistan has granted the IT sector a unique status in order to promote growth. Several projects have been begun in this direction, including IT-Parks and Tech-Pura projects in Lahore.
