Pakistan’s Highest Ever Monthly Exports $2.47 Billion in October

In October, the country’s exports reached a new record high of $2.47 billion, according to Shaukat Tarin, the Prime Minister’s Finance Advisor.

During the first four months of the fiscal year, imports reached $24.98 billion, up 64 percent from $15.19 billion during the same period last year.

The export target for October 2021 was set at $2.60 billion, and it remained at $2.47 billion, an increase of 17.5% from the same month in the previous fiscal year, when it was $2.104 billion.

“Exports remained at US$7.576 billion over the first four months of FY 2021-22, compared to the stated objective of US$9.6 billion,” he noted, noting that this represented a 25% increase over the same period the previous year.
