PDWP Approves 23 Road Development Schemes
The development of 23 road-related programmes was recently approved by the Punjab Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP). The budgetary amount of the expected cost, which came to about PKR 1,72,514.999 million, was recommended to the Public Sector Development Program (PSDP).

On the 30th meeting of the PDWP for the current fiscal year of 2020–21, the road widening plans were authorized. In addition to Provincial Secretary P&D Imran Sikandar Baloch, Assistant Chief Coordinator Shahid Idrees, provincial secretaries, and other senior members of the pertinent departments were present. Planning & Development Board Chairman Abdullah Khan Sumbal presided over the meeting.
The accepted schemes included:
- Duplication of Vehari- Abdul Hakim Road, District Vehari/ Khanewal at the cost of PKR 10,634.461 million.
- Duplication of road from Karam Dad Qureshi (N-70) to Layyah District Muzaffargarh/ Layyah at the cost of PKR 28,576. 490 million.
- Duplication of road from Lahore-Sargodha Khushab Mianwali Road, District Khushab at the cost of PKR 10,863.294 million
- Duplication of road from Sial Morr Interchange (M-2) to District boundary Sargodha – District Sargodha at the cost of PKR 19,984.143 million
