PepsiCo Signs MOU to Conduct Trials on Recycled Plastic Bottles
PepsiCo and its partner Novatex Limited signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to perform test trials for the first-of-its-kind bottle produced from recycled plastics at the Expo 2020 Dubai Pakistan Pavilion.
The program is an expansion of the current partnership between PepsiCo and Novatex Limited, which resulted in the collection and recycling of almost 5,000 tonnes of plastics.
The companies will collaborate in the future to greatly scale up the collection of used plastic bottles and to commercialize the usage of recycled plastic bottles. This innovative effort would pave the way in Pakistan for the genuine plastics recycling, sustainable packaging, and a smaller carbon footprint.

Recently, PepsiCo Pakistan initiated a number of significant initiatives to promote a circular economy and advance its vision of a world in which plastics never become a waste. PepsiCo started one of the nation’s largest plastic waste collection initiatives earlier in the year. PepsiCo also provides consumers with an easy way to recycle plastic bottles.
