Plan in Closing Stage to Tap Iron Reserves in Chiniot
According to news reports, Islamabad’s prime minister Imran Khan has revealed that a plan to exploit the iron riches in Kalabagh and Chiniot is in its final stages. Currently, the investment will be sought for the program, he noted.

The prime minister disclosed this information while presiding over a meeting to examine the development of the country’s mineral resources. He directed the relevant personnel to expeditiously complete the mining development program.
Prime Minister Khan stated that the country’s mineral sector offers vast investment opportunities. He went on to emphasize that exploitation of the country’s mineral wealth is a primary priority of the current government.
During the discussion, it was revealed that the program was developed with the sector’s challenges in mind. Pakistan’s mineral deposits include gypsum, copper, granite, limestone, chromite, iron, silver, gold, silica sand, salt, china clay, lead, marble, emerald, sandstone, aquamarine, ruby, tourmaline, and sapphire stones, according to reports.

The conference was attended by federal ministers Hammad Azhar and Asad Umar, provincial officers, and senior federal officers from the mineral sector.
