Protest in Khar Against Proposed Road Project
Bajaur: Hundreds of people in Khar town demonstrated against the proposal to build the Timergara-Khar-Mamad Gat Road through their property and threatened to start a protest movement if the plan was not changed.

Traders, locals, and political activists joined in the demonstration at Khar Chowk.
The demonstrators said that instead of using the major thoroughfare, the government had planned to build the 71 km route via their business properties along the bypass road in Khar town.
They asserted that the choice to build the road project on their commercial properties rather than the major thoroughfare was not only unfair to them but also a violation of the PC-I of the scheme that had been approved months earlier.
They claimed that they will continue to encourage the authorities for revision of the plan according to their views.
The demonstrators urged Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s chief minister and Prime Minister Imran Khan to conduct a review of the project in order to save their priceless lands in Khar Town.
