The Punjab government has directed relevant authorities to examine three proposed development schemes for potential inclusion in the Annual Development Programme (ADP) 2026-27, with the projects aimed at improving road connectivity and civic infrastructure in Lahore.
The proposed schemes include the construction and widening of Kitar Band Road, which would connect Multan Road with Ghausia Road. The project is expected to improve connectivity between key areas and help facilitate local traffic movement.

Another proposal focuses on the widening and covering of Kharak Nala, extending from Multan Road toward the Motorway. The scheme also includes the construction of an access road and a proposed motorway interchange, which could further improve connectivity to the surrounding areas.
Authorities have also been asked to examine a proposal for the construction of service roads along both sides of the Motorway, connecting Jinnah Terminal with Babu Sabu.
The Punjab Chief Minister’s Office has instructed the concerned departments to review the proposed schemes and take the necessary administrative steps. A summary will subsequently be submitted for consideration regarding their potential inclusion in the ADP 2026-27.

If approved and implemented, the proposed projects could contribute to improved road connectivity, traffic management, and access to major routes across Lahore.
