LAHORE: The Punjab government has directed property tax field offices to extend their working hours as the relief period for tax payments approaches its September 30, 2026 deadline.
A circular issued on September 25 instructed field offices across the province to remain open to facilitate taxpayers. The arrangement is intended to give property owners additional opportunities to clear their outstanding dues before the deadline.
According to Deputy Director Headquarters Faisal Shehzad Sindhu, all relevant field offices will remain open on Sunday, September 27. The offices will also operate for extended hours from September 26 to September 30.
During this period, tax offices will remain open until 8pm. The extended schedule is aimed at reducing inconvenience for taxpayers who need to submit their payments before the relief period ends.
The directive has been circulated to the concerned offices operating under directors across Punjab. Authorities have been asked to ensure that the instructions are implemented consistently.
Property owners seeking to benefit from the available tax relief should complete their payments within the announced period. After September 30, the applicable tax collection arrangements will resume according to the relevant rules and deadlines.
