The Punjab Excise and Taxation Department has reportedly sealed NFC University on Jaranwala Road in Faisalabad after the institution allegedly failed to clear outstanding property tax dues of Rs 83.9 million, according to Faisalabad TV.

Officials said the action was taken following prolonged non-payment of the tax liability despite repeated notices and obligations.

A team from the Excise and Taxation Department visited the university premises and carried out the sealing operation on site. Authorities stated that all legal requirements were completed before the institution was formally closed and its operations were halted.

According to officials cited in the report, the enforcement action was initiated due to long-pending property tax arrears, which had accumulated over time. The outstanding amount, described as Rs 83.9 million, was termed a significant liability under tax recovery laws.

The development has been reported in local media as part of ongoing enforcement efforts by the Punjab Excise and Taxation Department to ensure property tax compliance across institutions in the province.
