Punjab: PKR 9 Bn to Be Spent on Redecoration Programme of Cities
Lahore: According to news sources, the government of Punjab has allocated PKR 9 billion for the enhancement of the province’s major cities. The monies will be used to enhance infrastructure in the 36 districts of Punjab.

According to sources, the provincial Ministry of Housing would supervise the project. According to the published information, each municipality will undertake the following development projects:
- Renovation and redecoration of each city’s points of entry and exit
- Installing new and fixing old sewage systems.
- The installation of new street lamps, traffic lights, and signals
- Paths and craters must be repaired.
- Highway and road markings
- Amenity enhancements for parks and playgrounds
After cabinet approval, the division commissioners will receive the funds, according to ministry of housing sources.
