Punjab’s Central Land Records Management to Receive $150m
Lahore: The World Bank (WB) will offer a grant of USD 150 million for the development of the Punjab Urban Land Systems Enhancement Project.

According to reports, the grant will strengthen Punjab’s land taxing capability by more than PKR 400 billion and increase transparency.
Land Records Management and Knowledge Technologies would receive 103 million US dollars in order to digitalize land registry and surveying maps (LRMIS).

Land Housing (LH) would receive $3 million to locate, appraise, and mobilize low-risk government land for the development of weather patterns, including sustainable housing. 35,5 million dollars will be used to aid in the development of a modern Land Information System (LIS) that will combine and connect rural and urban land data. Currently, Arazi Record Centers (ARCs) are being constructed or expanded, utilizing ICT technologies.
