Construction of Basic Amenities Banned in Rawalpindi Main Road
Syed Gulzar Hussain Shah, the Divisional Commissioner in Rawalpindi, prohibited the clearance of the construction of hospitals and educational institutions on the major road on Thursday. To avoid the rush and any potential accidents, the choice was taken.
He gave orders to the deputy commissioners of Rawalpindi, Chakwal, Attock, and Jhelum to make sure that the assistant commissioners of the division of Rawalpindi play a significant role in raising traffic awareness in their respective districts.
He emphasized that the schools that are being rented must relocate right away. He further stated that hospitals should have a road helper hired.

After the Punjab chief secretary voiced his sorrow about the tragic deaths of four children in a road accident in Bahawalpur, the meeting was called shortly after.
The commissioner issued strong directives to all 36 districts to strengthen their traffic systems to prevent another horrible incident.
