RAWALPINDI: The long-awaited Rawalpindi Ring Road is set to open on August 14, 2026, marking a major milestone for the twin cities’ transport infrastructure.
The 38-kilometre road is expected to improve connectivity between Rawalpindi, Islamabad, the M-2 Motorway and surrounding areas, while providing an alternative route for traffic and helping reduce congestion on major urban roads.

The opening is also expected to increase accessibility to areas along the Ring Road corridor, potentially supporting new residential, commercial and real estate development.
With the project nearing completion, the August 14 opening is being closely watched by residents, commuters and property investors across Rawalpindi and Islamabad.
