Rs 500 Billion Released for Uplift Projects Under PSDP
Islamabad: Under the Public Sector Development Program (PSDP) 2020–21, the federal government has allocated Rs 650 billion for a total of Rs 500.942 billion in funding for different ongoing and new social sector uplift projects.

According to the most recent information provided by the Ministry of Planning, Development and Reform, released funds include Rs 321.55 billion for federal ministries, Rs 148.65 billion for corporations, Rs 29.54 billion for special areas, and Rs 1.2 billion for the Earthquake Reconstruction and Rehabilitation Authority (ERRA). For the fiscal years 2020–21, ERRA will receive a total PSDP allocation of Rs 3 billion.
The Higher Education Commission (HEC) received Rs 22.5 billion from the assigned money of Rs 22.49 billion, and the Pakistan Nuclear Regulatory Authority received Rs 323.7 million from the allocated amount of Rs 350 million (PNRA).

In addition, the government disbursed Rs 18.76 billion from the PSDP’s allocated Rs 24.5 billion for Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) development projects and Rs 10.78 billion from the allocated Rs 15 billion for Gilgit Baltistan (GB) projects.
According to additional statistics made public by the Planning Commission, out of the $479 billion in total issued money, various ministries and departments spent a total of Rs 263.1 billion during the first eight months (July-Feb) of the current fiscal year (8MFY21).
