Sethi Confirms Pakistani Players to Play Next Year’s ILT20
ISLAMABAD, January 18, 2023- Najam Sethi confirmed Pakistani players that will play International League T20 next year.
The inaugural ceremony of the UAE-based franchise cricket league was attended by Najam Sethi, BCCI Secretary Jay Shah, and board members from other countries. Both the PCB Chairman and the ECB officials committed to work together in the future for the good of cricket. Officials from the ECB expressed their pleasure at Sethi’s presence at the event and assured the PCB of their full support in the event that matches must be played in the UAE. Najam Sethi also requested a meeting with the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) to discuss the upcoming Asia Cup 2023 in Pakistan.

Notably, no Pakistani cricketer has participated in the inaugural IL T20 tournament, which is now being played in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah. It was alleged that the former PCB administration had requested $3 million from the ECB in order to release their players for the UAE-based league.
