Sindh Becomes Center for Enhancing Coordination: K-IV Project
Karachi: The Sindh and federal governments reached an agreement on Sunday (January 9) to improve coordination for the expansion of the KIV project and the improvement of the transportation infrastructure.
The K-IV project in Karachi will be finished in 2023.
It was stated that the megaproject was eclipsed by a lack of coordination and major issues. This was the sixth meeting of the Coordination Committee to take place at the Chief Minister’s residence.

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, Federal Minister for Planning, Development, and Special Initiatives Asad Umar, Karachi Administrator Murtaza Wahab, IT and Telecom Minister Syed Aminul Haque, Chief Secretary Mumtaz Shah, Provincial Ministers Nasir Shah, Karachi Corps Commander Lt. Gen. Muhammad Saeed, and Saeed Ghani were present at the meeting.
After the Green Line project is operational, KCR and K-IV will be constructed, says Haleem.

During this discussion, it was agreed that a revised PC-I for the aforementioned K-IV project would be submitted to the appropriate authorities, specifically the “Executive Committee of the National Economic Council” (ECNEC). According to reports, this project is anticipated to be completed by the end of 2023.
