Sindh Develops First Green Hydrogen Project
The deal stipulates that the facility will manufacture about 150,000 kilograms per day of green hydrogen utilizing a 400 megawatt (MW) plant powered by wind and solar farms. This significant development occurred just days before the crucial 26th Conference of the Parties on Climate Change of the United Nations.
There are now around 350 hydrogen projects in development across the globe. These initiatives aim to decarbonize economic sectors, including heavy transportation, industry, and aviation. Hydrogen might meet up to 24 percent of world energy demand by 2050 if the proper policies and investments are implemented.

Currently, just four percent of the produced hydrogen is derived from renewable sources, but this percentage is predicted to increase by several multiples as the global decarburization push gains momentum. Initially, the green hydrogen produced by this plant in Sindh would be exported, with the sponsors seeking consumers in China and the surrounding region.
