Sindh Govt Calls Pakistan’s First Digital Census Flawed
On Sunday, the Sindh administration expressed concerns over Pakistan’s first-ever digital census, labelling it a “flawed” undertaking. The chief minister of Sindh, Syed Murad Ali Shah, wrote to the federal government explaining his party’s concerns with the procedure.

According to reports, Syed Murad Ali Shah said that the difficult census process was being kept a secret from the general public and the provinces.
The CM asked that the problems with the digital census be fixed and urged federal officials to ensure process openness.
The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) asked for a full explanation of the digital census in the letter to allay its fears. The PPP has already discussed the census in the National Assembly (NA) and the Senate, as mentioned in the letter.

Shah added that new problems had arisen as a result of the census’s usage of tablets.
He continued by claiming that the federal government was repeating errors from the 2017 census while the Sindh government and people were kept in the dark about the process. He pleaded with the federal government to use prudence and refrain from making the same errors once more.
Shah added in the letter that the provincial administration wouldn’t be held accountable if there was a dispute regarding the census findings. It is essential to accommodate the party’s concerns while still ensuring a fair and transparent census process as a consequence.
