US President Donald Trump has rejected reports suggesting that Iran has suspended negotiations with the United States, insisting that discussions between the two countries remain active and ongoing.
In a statement shared on his Truth Social platform, Trump dismissed claims of a diplomatic pause and said communication with Iranian officials has continued without interruption. He emphasized that talks have taken place consistently over the past several days, including on the day of his statement.
His comments came shortly after Iranian state media reported that Tehran had halted engagement with Washington amid growing regional tensions, creating uncertainty over the status of the negotiations.
Trump, however, maintained that diplomatic channels remain open and that both sides are still in contact despite conflicting public statements.
The US president also reiterated his position that a negotiated agreement with Iran remains necessary, arguing that the longstanding tensions between the two countries cannot continue indefinitely.
