Venue Changed for PSL 2023 Opening Ceremony
ISLAMABAD, January 20, 2023- The opening ceremony of PSL 8 is expected to be held in Karachi rather than Multan.
According to the original schedule, Multan was to host both the opening ceremony and the opening match of the upcoming PSL season, but the timetable is likely to be altered. Najam Sethi is also eager to meet with India’s Jay Shah to discuss the 2023 Asia Cup. The newly established PCB administration is eager to hold one of the largest cricket tournaments at the National Bank Cricket Arena in Karachi. The new schedule will be announced after the end of the three-match ODI series against New Zealand.

All franchises and the PCB executive committee have agreed to hold the round matches at Multan Cricket Stadium. Last week, it was revealed that Karachi and Multan will simultaneously host PSL matches until February 26, when the venue will change from Multan to Lahore. In March, Mohammad Amir Rawalpindi will host its portion of the Pakistan Super League. The competition semifinals and championship match will take place at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. The draft ceremony for the eighth season was conducted on December 15, during which numerous franchises selected internationally recognized cricketers.
