Water Supply Schemes in KP to Convert to Solar Power: WAPDA
According to our sources, the Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) and the irrigation department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) have decided to convert the water delivery schemes to a solar power system. Two parties sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for this purpose.

There were reports of funding for solarization. It will fund an international non-governmental organization’s community development project through a grant from the European Union (NGO). It contributes to the growth of local communities. The MOU was signed at a ceremony attended by the secretary of irrigation, Idress Khan.

Asian Development Bank (ADB) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with KP to provide USD 350 million for the development of three sewage treatment facilities, the rehabilitation of faulty tube wells, and two clean water treatment facilities.
