In a significant escalation of military tensions between South Asia’s two nuclear-armed neighbors, Pakistan has issued a stern warning to India following recent confrontations along their borders. The Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR), Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, addressed a press briefing where he directly responded to India’s alleged missile strikes on Pakistani territory.

The DG ISPR asserted that Pakistan reserves the right to respond at a time and place of its choosing. He stated that the impact of Pakistan’s response would be so decisive that it would be recognized globally, not just through the Indian media. This comes after Pakistan claims to have shot down five Indian fighter jets, including state-of-the-art Rafale aircraft, and intercepted approximately 30 drones.

According to the Pakistani military, the recent missile attacks by India resulted in civilian casualties and multiple injuries. Pakistan’s armed forces reportedly acted swiftly and decisively in retaliation, marking one of the most intense cross-border military engagements in recent times.

In addition to military responses, Pakistan has categorically denied accusations from India alleging Pakistani involvement in drone attacks in the Jammu region. The DG ISPR labeled these claims as baseless and fabricated, aimed at misleading the international community and providing a pretext for continued aggression by India.

Security analysts in Pakistan have warned that such actions by India could dangerously escalate the situation in the region. They emphasize the importance of factual reporting and diplomatic engagement to avoid further deterioration of bilateral relations.

As tensions remain high, the international community closely watches developments between the two nations, urging restraint and dialogue to avert a broader conflict.
