ZTBL Launches Loan Scheme for Farmers
Islamabad: The Zarai Taraqiati Bank (ZTBL) has introduced a ‘Kissan Khushhal Scheme’ (KKS) designed to provide farmers with maximal credit advantages at the lowest possible markup.

The plan would assist farmers in obtaining timely finance to fulfill their real demands for crop inputs, in addition to facilitating quick access to loans with a one-time documentation facility for three years.
The KKS provides farmers and borrowers with different withdrawal and repayment options, allowing them to take funds according to their requirements and repay loans as and when funds become available.
In addition, the strategy allows the far more flexible option of repaying the markup in semi-annual instalments and the main amount within a year in order to alleviate the debt burden.

The scheme is valid for up to three years and requires documentation only once. However, the farmer must repay the outstanding balance once a year in order to qualify for the loan the following year.
Under the scheme, the maximum per-borrower limit will be up to Rs 0.700 million, and insurance coverage is also available in the event of natural disasters.
