Peshawar: A unit for business facilitation and investment has been established by the provincial industries department.

The ‘Ease of Doing Business Facilitation Cell’ was set up at the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Board of Investment.
Hassan Daud Butt, the chief executive officer of the KP Board of Investment, spoke at the opening ceremony and emphasized the cell’s essential characteristics, referring to it as a significant step in the province’s economic development.
He said that the cell would help to promote cross-border trade and would considerably improve business activity in the province.

Ziaullah Bangash, the chief minister’s information technology advisor, said the KP Board of Investment and KP Information Technology Board had worked together to create an online business site that would give investors access to the ministries at both the federal and provincial levels.
Mr. Najy, the country director for the World Bank Group, spoke at the event via video link and commended the Board of Investment on establishing the business facilitation unit.
He claimed that the province government was encouraging investors and facilitating economic activity by taking the correct actions at the right time.
