Citizens Angry With Frequent Traffic Jams on Islamabad Expressway
Residents of the twin cities are experiencing great frustration due to traffic congestion along Islamabad Highway caused by DHA-2 and DHA-5.
A media report indicates that many residents are demanding action to address the situation. One anonymous lady, who takes her children to school, stated that it takes her hours to get her kids to school and back home.

Some daily commuters blame the CDA and FWO for their poor project management, calling the activities “ill-conceived, haphazard, and chaotic.”
They expressed frustration with the administration’s inability to manage traffic effectively, saying it is unacceptable, and they are suffering the consequences. Another resident suggested suing the authorities for the mental anguish caused by daily traffic, and yet another pointed out that the dug-up roads are causing significant financial losses due to the wear and tear of their vehicles.
Despite mounting discontent, officials have not resolved the traffic bottleneck, leaving residents wondering when the poorly performed project will end. The Islamabad traffic police are also under fire for traffic mismanagement.
