Contract for Shahkam Chowk Flyover Awarded to NLC
Lahore: According to a post made on Facebook on April 14, the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has accepted the bid provided by NLC for the widely anticipated building of the Shahkam Chowk Flyover.

Shahkam Chowk Flyover construction was anticipated to cost PKR 2,877 million, according to project information provided by LDA Vice Chairman S M Imran.
However, the NLC secured the contract by submitting a bid with a PKR 2,554 million financial estimate. Mr. Imran noted that the authority has saved up to PKR 300 million by adopting this proposal thanks to the execution of a fair tendering process.
The aforementioned flyover is one of five large-scale construction projects that will get underway this month in the provincial capital.

Other significant infrastructure developments for Lahore still under construction include the building of a flyover at Sheranwala Gate, an underpass at Ghulab Devi Hospital, additional lanes on the Lahore Bridge (Ferozepur Road), five underpasses on The Mall, and easing traffic congestion at Barkat Market’s Y-junction (Garden Town).
