ECC Favors Formation of National Export Development Board
Islamabad: The federal cabinet’s Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) has given its approval for the establishment of a National Export Development Board (NEDB).

The adviser announced this on his official Twitter account. The board will be presided over by Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan and comprise ministries, exporters, investors, and members of the business sector.
In this context, Abdul Razak Dawood, the prime minister’s advisor for commerce and investment, stated that the NEDB will serve as the primary venue to discuss strategy, incentives, and the reduction of economic barriers.
According to programme authorities, the Federal Republic of Germany would give GIZ up to 7,500,000 euros over the course of three years as part of the German commitment.

Dawood, Dr. Sohail Rajpoot, special secretary, Ministry of Trade, from Pakistan, and Romina Kochius, main adviser GIZ, from Germany, all attended the signing event.
According to the specifics, by combining the environmental, social, and economic aspects of sustainability in the textile and apparel industry, the technical cooperation on this project seeks to boost value-added, competitiveness, and innovation.
