FBR Bans Transfers and Postings of Officials for Q4FY21
Transfers, postings, and leave for officers and staff members of the Inland Revenue field formations are prohibited during the fourth quarter (April–June) of 2020–21, according to the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).

The fourth quarter of the current financial year is about to begin, and the entire tax machinery is required to step up its efforts to achieve the assigned budgetary targets through full determination and posting, according to the FBR’s instructions sent to all IR offices here on Tuesday. It has been noted with concern that IR Field Formations are forwarding requests for grant of leave, including ex-Pakistan leave and transfer/postings on a regular basis.
The FBR official continued, “In light of the foregoing, I am directed to convey that until June 30, 2021, the respective heads of Field Formations may not submit to the Board requests for award of ex-Pakistan leave and transfers/postings.

Local leave and other types of leave are also prohibited from being given liberally during the fourth quarter of the current fiscal year and may only be approved in exceptional situations or in cases of great necessity after notifying the head office, according to FBR rules.
