PESHAWAR: The Federal Government Employees Housing Authority (FGEHA) is planning a new 1,600-kanal housing project in Charsadda to expand residential opportunities for federal government employees.
The authority has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with private-sector partners for the proposed development. The project is planned under the Land Sharing Model and will follow the FGEHA (JV & PPP) Rules, 2025.
The proposed housing scheme is located about six kilometers from the Charsadda Interchange on the Peshawar-Islamabad Motorway. It is also around 15 minutes from Peshawar. The site will have access from Charsadda-Nowshera Road and will be located near KPHA Mega City in Nowshera.
The project is expected to accommodate around 700 to 800 registered FGEHA members. Private-sector participation will be part of the development arrangement under the land-sharing framework.
FGEHA Director General Zafar Iqbal said the authority was using Public-Private Partnership and Land Sharing Models to develop affordable residential facilities for federal employees. He also said work was continuing on existing FGEHA schemes to meet development and possession targets.
The authority has set July 2027 as the target for handing over plots in Margalla Orchard, Block-A. Possession in Sectors F-14 and F-15 is planned in phases. Meanwhile, possession in Sky Garden Blocks-A, B and D is targeted for December 31, 2026.
FGEHA has also reported progress on its ongoing projects. The authority said possession of 80 plots had already been handed over ahead of schedule. Development work is continuing in F-14/F-15, Green Enclave-I and Lifestyle Residency Apartments in G-13, Islamabad.
The Charsadda project remains at the development planning stage. Further details on construction timelines, plot categories, pricing and allotment arrangements will depend on the project’s implementation and subsequent approvals.
