Islamabad’s Margalla Hills Expected to Get Snowfall This Week
As Pakistan prepares for a severe cold wave brought on by fierce Siberian winds, records for this season’s temperatures are expected across the nation.

The largest automated weather station network in Pakistan, Pak Weather, predicts that Murree will get significant snowfall between January 10 and January 14.
Islamabad’s Margalla Hills are predicted to experience snowfall due to their proximity to the hill station, which will cause the temperature in the federal capital to drop below freezing.
In addition, Karachi is predicted to see extremely low temperatures from January 12 through January 16. Temperatures in the northern reaches of the provincial capital can range from 4-6°C.

While Karachi’s southern regions are predicted to see temperatures between 10 and 13 °C, the city’s core regions are forecast to remain between 7-9 °C.
In Karachi, this will be one of the coldest days in a long time. The 1940s saw Karachi see its coldest temperature ever, which was 0°C.
