Islamabad Police’s New Traffic Office Lacks Proper Security
The newly established Islamabad Capital Territory Police (ICTP) traffic office at Faizabad lacks security despite getting over 500 daily visitors for various matters.

The huge office has no boundary wall and fiber rooms for police and field employees, according to APP. The chapel holds 10-15 people, and the canteen has few amenities. The report says police and tourists have no restrooms.
The tiny visitor gate has only two guards. Only a big umbrella protects these guards from rain and sun. Visitors entered the traffic office after a few inquiries and little checking.

Fiber rooms for the Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) and Superintendent of Police (Traffic) lack chairs. APP attempted to contact CTO Dr. Syed Mustafa Tanveer about the office condition but received no answer.
The Islamabad Police spokesperson verified that ASI-supervised nine policemen guard the Faizabad Traffic Police office in three shifts. They’re also on the office’s front and rear.

However, this vast area without a wall has inadequate staff to deter threats.
