The Lahore Traffic Police has blacklisted 100 vehicles with the highest number of unpaid e-challans as part of an intensified campaign against repeat traffic offenders.

According to officials, strict action will be taken against these vehicles whenever they are identified through the Safe City surveillance camera system. The move aims to improve compliance with traffic laws and recover outstanding fines from habitual violators.

Traffic police data revealed that one vehicle had accumulated 398 traffic violations, while several others recorded between 200 and 300 violations without clearing the associated penalties.

Authorities stated that red-light jumping and lane discipline violations are among the most common offenses committed by the blacklisted vehicles.

The owners of these vehicles collectively owe millions of rupees in unpaid fines, with some individual vehicles carrying outstanding penalties of up to Rs. 500,000.

Traffic officials confirmed that the vehicles have been formally blacklisted, and legal proceedings have been approved against owners who continue to ignore repeated notices and fail to pay their e-challans.

The crackdown is part of broader efforts to strengthen traffic law enforcement and encourage responsible driving behavior across Lahore.
