LDA-imposed Laws to Prevent Illegal Land Conversions: Dg Tarar
According to news media, Ahmad Aziz Tarar, director general of the Lahore Development Authority (LDA), stated that rules had been enacted to prevent the agricultural property from being transformed into unlawful housing communities.
The LDA director general made these statements during a meeting with a private housing delegation led by Sh Amjad Manzoor. The team informed DG Tarar of the difficulties faced by private housing associations. In addition, the members expressed their concerns and opinions regarding the city’s new master plan.
In response, DG LDA Tarar informed the delegation that their worries and difficulties would be handled as a matter of priority and that their suggestions would be incorporated into the master plan to make it more accessible to citizens.

He also added that the LDA would establish a specialized one-window cell to address the challenges and concerns of housing societies. He claimed that a list of illegal housing projects is maintained on the LDA website for better guidance and to safeguard homeowners from shady private building schemes.
