The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has sealed 32 hostels and hotels operating without the required approvals in different areas of Lahore as part of an ongoing crackdown on unauthorised commercial activities.
The enforcement operation was carried out by the LDA’s Town Planning Wing under the directions of Director General Tahir Farooq. Officials said the campaign is aimed at improving compliance with planning and building regulations and preventing the unauthorised commercial use of properties.
According to LDA officials, inspection teams visited several locations following complaints regarding buildings being used as hostels and hotels without the necessary permissions.
After inspecting and verifying the properties, authorities sealed 32 buildings found to be operating in violation of applicable regulations.
