Murree to Separate District, Likely to Get Two Parking Plazas
According to our sources, on Sunday, the Chief Minister of Punjab, Usman Buzdar, declared Murree to be an independent district that would no longer be part of the Rawalpindi Division. It is also anticipated to receive two parking lots to address the resort region’s traffic problems.

The resolution was adopted to enhance the hill station’s resources and management and to deal with impending disasters efficiently. The chief minister has assembled a committee to investigate the deaths of tourists who were trapped in Murree during a snowfall.
The Prime Minister requested advice from the Board of Revenue (BoR) and the Chief Secretary. He also suggested the immediate appointment of a police superintendent and extra deputy commissioners.
In addition, two emergency police stations have been established. The two plazas will be constructed near Sunny Bank and Jhika Gali. To avoid traffic congestion, the parking lots will be connected to Murree Mall Road via a shuttle service.

The prime minister told the reporters that only a certain number of vehicles and persons would be permitted to enter in the future. Planning is underway for the construction of the access roads to the hill station. In addition, he vowed to take severe action against hotel owners who overcharged.
