Over RS 98 Million to Be Spent on Water Supply Schemes
Taxila: Punjab Minister for Baitul Maal and Social Welfare Yawar Abbas Bukhari announced plans to spend Rs 98.8 million on water delivery schemes in three outlying areas of Attock.
The minister told the press that money had been set aside and a tender launched for the execution, development, and upgrading of several water supply systems in the Makhad, Chaab, and Dekhanir areas of Jand.
He also mentioned that residents had been waiting a long time for a reliable water source to be installed.
Mr. Bukhari stated that the work would be carried out via the district public health engineering department and that the projects would be finished in a timeframe of 36 months.

Meanwhile, the government of Taxila recovered 45 kanals of state land from land grabbers, reclaiming millions of rupees in the process.
According to reports, the Dehri Shahan area has been the site of a joint operation between the revenue and Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB), police, tehsil, and local government led by Assistant Commissioner Shahzad Mehboob. The land was valued at Rs 180,000,000.
