PM Khan to Launch Swat Expressway’s Second Phase
Tomorrow, Prime Minister Imran Khan will launch Phase II of the Swat Expressway, according Pakistani media reports (January 5).

According to the details, the Swat Motorway Phase-II is an 80-kilometer extension of the present Phase-I. The second phase will connect the Chakdara Interchange to Fatehpur via nine interchanges and eight important Swat River bridges. In addition, phase II of the road will travel through Swat and Malakand districts, opening them to tourism.

According to reports, the Swat Motorway (M-16) will extend from the Kernal Sher Khan interchange on the Peshawar-Islamabad Motorway (M-1) to the Chakdara bridge on the Nowshera-Chitral National Highway (N-45) in the southern portion of the Swat Valley.

According to CM Khan, 314 development projects with a combined value of PKR 230 billion are now being implemented in the Swat region. He went on to state that six new universities and at least nine degree colleges are being established in Swat.
