Punjab Going to Create 13 Special Economic Zones

According to Mian Aslam Iqbal, provincial minister for industries and commerce, the government is transforming Punjab into a centre for investment, trade, and economic activities.

At the 35th Annual General Meeting of Pakistan Textile Exporters Association, the minister claimed that local and international firms were investing in Punjab due to the region’s favourable economic climate (PTEA).

The government has constructed 23 minor industrial parks in Punjab during the past three years, he said, adding that 13 Special Economic Zones are also being established in the province.
